Qiyu Diao, a ruminant nutrition and feed specialist, is a Level II Researcher, doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and Senior Chief Scientist at CAAS. He serves as Director of the Sheep Subcommittee of the Animal Nutrition Guidance Committee under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and is a specially appointed animal nutrition expert for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). He is a recipient of the State Council special allowance, a National Advanced Worker in Agriculture, and Chairman of the Beijing Low-Carbon Agriculture Association. He has published over 400 Chinese articles and more than 100 SCI-indexed papers. Ranked among the top 2% scientists globally and listed in the 2024 Top 1% National Animal Science Experts. He has received one National Second Prize and three First Prizes from Beijing Municipality and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, along with six other awards. His major publications include Nutritional Requirements of Meat Sheep in China and Physiological Nutrition and Healthy Farming of Calves.
